New Smiley Street Style Prints now available!
This is a Street Style print which I have really wanted to make for a very long time!
A smiley, often known as a smiley face, is a simple ideogram that depicts a happy face. It has been a part of popular culture across the world since the 1950s, whether as a solitary ideogram or as a method of communication, such as emoticons. To symbolise eyes and a mouth, the smiley originated with two dots and a line.
When you smile, the entire world grins with you! The smiley is a yellow face with a large, happy smile, as most people know. This happy face appears to be a global and universal emblem of joy and happiness. But why is that? Is it true that humans are infatuated with the human face? Perhaps, as a result of our preoccupation with faces, we perceive them in daily items, a phenomenon known as pareidolia. We perceive a yellow circle with dots and a curving line as a joyful smile because of pareidolia, which is defined as "the imagined impression of a pattern or meaning when it does not truly exist."
These prints are made in spray paint, acrylic paint and screen printing.
